Ethics
BRǢN is focused on the merging of A.I. with robotics and applications primarily on consumer, industrial, corporate and government sectors. To be successful at this, the question of creating 'sentient' AI robots operating in our homes and businesses, governments, schools, police departments and military bases forces consideration of one key element....consciousness. What is it and how does it apply to Ai-infused robots implanted with super-intelligence that allows them to learn, think and make autonomous decisions.
Consciousness is awareness of self (existence), awareness of the experience of existence (just as unconsciousness is the lack of awareness of existence) - awareness of one's own existence, sensations, thoughts, surroundings, etc. It is awareness of something for what it is; internal knowledge: consciousness of wrongdoing. It is full activity of the mind and senses, as in waking life. It is the essence of being ‘alive’. Consciousness is the universal origin of value. Without consciousness, nothing truly matters. Consciousness perceives the concept of identity. Everything we are, everything we care about, everything that matters, depends on consciousness.
There certainly are a lot of ethical issues that must be considered and are being implemented in the design of the izzi-bots
